Fresh on the heels of his critically acclaimed memoirs, award-winning American comedian, writer, musician and presenter Rich Hall is hitting the road for another tour of the UK.
Montana’s transatlantic messenger will return to Warrington with his new show, Shot from Cannons, on Friday, 8 December, with new rants and sharply satirical swipes about US politics and culture in between his hilarious musical interludes.
Known for his grouchy demeanour which inspired The Simpsons character Moe Szyslak, Rich first came to prominence as a sketch comedian in the 1980s with appearances on the likes of Saturday Night Live.
He then started to gain popularity in the UK at the turn of the century after winning a Perrier Comedy Award in 2000.
Over the years, Rich has been a regular guest on panel shows like QI, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Have I Got News For You and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. He has also worked with the BBC on numerous acclaimed documentaries which have captured his unique cultural critique of American people and places.
The most recent have been Rich Hall’s Red Menace, an alternative history of the Cold War, and Radio 4 series Election Breakdown.
His latest book, Nailing It, was released in August 2022. It is a collection of true stories from Rich’s personal and professional life as a comedian – all delivered in his trademark deadpan style.
Rich Hall will bring Shot from Cannons to Pyramid Arts Centre on Friday, 8 December. Call Box Office on 01925 442345 or visit https://pyramid.culturewarrington.org/whats-on/rich-hall-shot-from-cannons/
